POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Carlson IT is seeking an Operations Analyst to coordinate/support production implementation, including providing incident, change and knowledge management for the IT infrastructure teams, and facilitating service restoration and minor installation for IT and other business units.

Specific responsibilities include:


  • Servicing internal clients by providing operations analysis, consultation, documentation and production implementation services for either a new/changed application, application reports, or application-specific forms under Carlson IT guidelines. 

  • Assessing client production needs and either assisting or obtaining the resources to assist in production implementation and ongoing support of the client’s system/reports/forms.

  • Reviewing operations documentation including user guides to ensure existence of such documentation along with accuracy and usefulness.

  • Checking new releases, upgrades for no adverse affect to other systems. 

  • Supporting and facilitating new system implementation.

  • Being accountable for compliance to policy, process and agreed upon operational support procedures.

  • Assisting the technical support staff in establishing urgency of a client problem and resolving the problem as needed

  • Performing active application monitoring and event correlation where required

  • Performing problem analytics through evaluation of incident and change records and customer feedback

  • Providing incident resolution and cross functional service restoration

  • Supporting operation readiness activities for project and/or change implementation

  • Estimating development work, as necessary

  • Assuming on-call responsibilities


POSITION QUALIFICATIONS


  • Bachelor Degree in Information Technology or related field, or equivalent business/industry training and on the job experience.

  • 3 years of relevant work experience, including experience with incident and change management processes and systems

  • Ability to assume on-call responsibilities

  • Strong business communication and organizational skills
