It is really important that you must aware of the fact that even though you are new in the field but organizations expect the same professionalism from you. So prior to the interview,research for the company for which you are applying for jobs in Pakistan.
So for preparing yourself for the interview, you must do some of the following things.
The first and foremost thing is that you should know about yourself, yes! Yourself, as many people ignore this fact and when asked by the interviewer they are sitting in front of them with blank faces. So must prepare a brief summary of who you are.
You must look professional and try to leave your college going attitude at home as now you are in working field and professionalism is expected from you. So dress according to business field such as suits and women must try to go for the minimal makeup and jewelry. It will be better if you don’t look overdressed.
Keep calm and organized, bring your resume and references multiple copies. Don’t be late for your interview as it will give the bad impression of you and can go against you.
It is also advisable that you bring your portfolio of samples along with your resume and references as your class projects are the perfect way to analyze your work experience.
It is important that you look confident as even though you don’t have any experience and you are competing with people who far outweighs the experience but still you have gone through four years of intense learning, projects, internships etc. your university professors can be the best source of contacts and references so use them.
The common question asked by the interviewer is that why should they hire you and as you are interviewed for entry level jobs they will most likely will interested to know more about your communication skills, teamwork and how good you are handling the pressure. Why do you want to work at this position, is also the most common question. So it is important that you answer them with full confidence as at this stage some behavioral questions are usually asked.
In the end, it really matters that you have an idea of your talents and abilities and most importantly how you use them for the betterment of the organization.
