Job Description
Volume Seattle is seeking a creative, detail oriented and motivated individual as Human Resources Intern (Part Time) to join our growing team. The human resources intern is responsible for recruitment, screening, interviewing, and placing workers. They also may handle human resources work in a variety of other areas, such as employee relations, heading up periodic employee evaluation, developing employee retention programs and professional development training programs.
Position Requirements
Skills / Industry Qualifications Required:Responsibilities:
1.Arrange for advertising or posting of job vacancies, and notify eligible workers of position availability
2.Conduct pre-hire meetings
3.Process and review employment applications in order to evaluate qualifications or eligibility of applicants
4.Identify and implement significant improvements related to the recruiting process
5.Inform job applicants of their acceptance or rejection of employment
6.Process, verify, and maintain documentation related to personnel activities such as staffing, recruitment, training, grievances, performance evaluations, and classifications
7.Produce welcome packets for staffs, including guidelines and expectations

Qualifications:
•Effective interpersonal and written communication skills
•Ability to manage multiple priorities at the same time
•Excellent organizational skills
•Possess ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner
•Ability to gather and analyze information skillfully
•Be flexible and available to interact with contacts of all levels
•Ability to work independently
•Skilled in database management and record keeping

Assets:
•HR experience desired
•Skilled in database management and record/book keeping
•Multilingual, fluency in other languages are helpful
•Ability to work off hours such as late evenings (10pm-2am) or during special event times
•Graphic design skills (ie: Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Acrobat Pro, CorelDRAW, Microsoft Expression Design)
•Technical skills (website management, DreamWeaver, php, html5)
