About the Job
Primary Role in the Organization:
1. To oversee the daily departmental production
2. Ensure that company objectives are met with regards to Safety, Quality, Cost and Delivery
Reports To:
Shipping Manager
Supervises:
Shipping Department Supervisors and Office Administrators.
Responsibilities:
1) Monitor department objectives and budgets.
2) Set ojectives for Supervisors.
3) Provide support for daily shipping activities.
4) Provide support for associate concerns.
5) Monitor and minimize downtime / late shipments
6) Support customer meetings and activities.
7) Monitor and support process development, training and implementation.
8) Provide support for customer concerns. Develop conuntermeasure activity for issues.
9) Ensure adherence to the Quality System.
10) Ensure adherence to the Environmental System.
11) Tracking of departmental effectivity and performance.
12) Monitor and manage training effectiveness by utilizing work observations.
13) Support Neaton Programs (NISS, NORS and QCC.)
14) Monitor associate performance reviews.
15) Initiate / Support Kaizen activities.
16) Schedule and manage customer concern activity.
17) Lead assigned departments into the future through continuous improvements.
Qualifications:
A. Experience
1) Inventory control.
2) Tow motor, Truck and related equipment.
B. Education
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in related field
Requirements:
A. Physical Demands
Must be able to work long hours and be available to work all shifts
B. Equipment Usage
Must have an in depth knowledge of Word Processing, Spreadsheets, Databases and
Presentation Software
C. Mental/Cognitive Demands
1) Good oral and written skills.
2) Must be organized and familiar with scheduling processes.
3) Demonstrated ability to supervise and direct employees.
4) Must be self motivated.
