It has been seen that tall people get more money at their jobs in Pakistan than some short people.The reasons are that it is conceptualize as that tall people are more intelligent and smart than short people. Studies have shown that 6-icnh height workers get approx $4000 more than their skilled but short co-worker. It might not be fair but it happens.
Same is the case with weight as if you are fat then there are high chances that you will not be hired and if hired then will get low salary at your jobs in Faisalabad, jobs in Rawalpindi and all over jobs in Pakistan as compare to the people who are very much in shape. Different studies have shown that obesity can affect your pay rate and this discrimination is more severe in case of women.
Hair colors also differentiate as studies have shown that blonde women usually enjoy high pay rate approx 9% more. People who work out and have lean clean physique and exercise three or more times a week they earn 80% more than their co-workers. Your physique can play a role in getting high salary check.
Women who wear makeup earn 30% more than who don’t, and if you think that wearing makeup is no different, then it is the time that you refresh your thinking and take some notes. Studies have revealed that 65% of directors said that women who wear makeup look more professional and trustworthy. So yes people do judge you on the basis of your beauty even in the business.
So people, who think that you are good looking, will pay you more money. But at the same time if you are just too beautiful be true it can go against you as they will face problems getting masculine jobs and most often will prefer as a receptionists and personal secretaries etc.
In the case of men, well if you are pretty handsome and attractive man then sure you have advantages and these types of men will be preferred for the jobs like directors, managers, researchers, engineers etc and more likely for higher jobs.
In the end it is true that looks matter in the business field but it should be remembered that only this is not enough as you should have job skills too and hiring managers should keep in mind that education, skills, qualification and experience matters the most. And they should emphasis more on these things when hiring candidates, looks can be advantageous but alone they are not enough.
If you turned away for your looks then it is advisable that you should take it as your benefit because an organization that values physical appearance over job performance it is not very healthy to work with them.
