Job Description
Major Responsibilities: Under the general supervision of the Head Coach of Strength & Conditioning, act as a Coach for the Division’s Strength & Conditioning Program in accordance with NCAA, Big Ten, and University regulations. Areas of responsibility include: leading conditioning drills for sports teams (primary responsibility to Football), teaching weight lifting and conditioning techniques and safety and maintenance of the weight room area. Other duties include computerized data entry and tracking of student-athlete workouts, supervision of student employees, and other duties assigned by the Head Coach of Strength & Conditioning.

Requirements
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree required. For Head Football Strength & Conditioning Coach: Minimum of 1 to 3 years of successful football strength and conditioning experience (preferably within Division I football) is required.
For Assistant Football Strength & Conditioning Coaches: Minimum of 1 to 3 years of successful strength and conditioning experience (preferably within Division I football) is required.
Other qualifications include: the ability to work cooperatively with diverse groups and administrators, faculty, staff and students; the ability to be able to develop and implement innovative approaches and solutions; work well independently and in teams; and be flexible in accepting new responsibilities.
Conditions of Appointment: These are Limited appointments. Salary will be assigned within the appropriate range, commensurate with the candidate’s qualifications and experience. An excellent benefits package is also included. Anticipated start date on or after January 22, 2013. Special Note: UW-Madison conducts criminal background checks for final candidate(s).
