Job Description
Client: Online Trading & Investing Services Location: Phoenix, AZ Start: ASAP Duration: Contract to Hire Position: IT Security Analyst Description: The Client’s Security & Technology Operations organization is seeking a Security Analysts. The security analyst will perform 24X7 information security response, security monitoring, and supports audit/compliance and cyber forensic activities for the company. The successful candidate will have intermediate knowledge and experience with SIEMs, security operations processes, incident response, event analysis, threat intelligence, and security skills development. Brief Description of Role: ·         Act as shift lead on a team of Information Security professionals supporting a global enterprise. ·         Provide tier-2 incident response analysis and support. ·         Escalate issues to senior staff/management as required. ·         Identify and remediate any threats and/or vulnerabilities to corporate networks. ·         Document incident results and report details to the security organization. Document existing and new processes, mature existing documentation. ·         Research, analyze and understand log sources from security and networking devices such as firewalls, routers, anti-virus products, and operating systems. ·         Assist with the tuning ArcSight Content performance and event data quality to maximize system efficiency. ·         Train, mentor, and provide oversight to Security Analyst I’s. Qualifications: ·         Experience in the administration and/or advanced technical support of Windows, UNIX, and Linux Servers/Desktops. ·         Proficient with NID implementations, various host isolation methods, packet and log analysis, enterprise anti-virus solutions, virus outbreak management, and the ability to differentiate commodity malware from Advanced Persistent Threats. ·          Possesses a strong understanding of the TCP/IP protocol suite, security architecture, and remote access security techniques/products. ·         Candidates must have a strong understanding of incident response methodologies and technologies and must be able to apply this knowledge to react quickly, decisively, and deliberately in high stress situations. ·         Research and analytical background and an analytical approach, especially with respect to event classification, event correlation, and root cause analysis. Troubleshooting skills and curiosity a must ·         Willingness to serve as a member of an Incident Response Team (IRT) and respond to emergency calls during non-business hours, as needed. ·         Ensure the confidentiality, availability, and integrity of SOC data sources. ·         Strong verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills are required to document and communicate findings, escalate critical incidents, and interact with customers. ·         Highly motivated individual with the ability to self-start, prioritize, and multi-task ·         Minimum 2-years’ experience as a Security Analyst required ·         Minimum 5-years’ experience in Information Technology required. ·         BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience required ·         Experience within a 24x7 security operations environment a plus
