POSITION:                        Environmental Coordinator (2 Positions)

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:
●   Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering or a science related field from an accredited college/university
●   Minimum of five years  recent experience in environmental compliance in a large industrial, processing or manufacturing environment    "      
       
PREFERRED SKILLS:
●   Electric utility experience
●   Multi-media environmental permitting and reporting experience
●   Multi-media environmental auditing experience
●   Knowledge of and  direct experience with environmental regulations to include: air, water and waste
●   Effective verbal, written and computer skills
●   Effective organizational skills with commitment to deadlines
●   Willingness to work in a Union environment
●   Motivated self-starter who can function with a minimum of supervision
●   Additional consideration given to the following experiences: Spill remediation and SPCC and FRP plan preparation; DOT regulations; PCB waste disposal; Participation on Environmental Work Activity Groups; Environmental License/Certifications; Waste sampling techniques & analysis of results; Experience communicating and working with regulators; CEMS operation and maintenance     
       
POSITION SCOPE:
Under direct supervision, provides support and guidance to Power Supply, Power Delivery, and other internal groups, regarding current and pending environmental regulations, rules, and permits requirements, environmental data collection, generation and reporting and  various aspects of operation of environmental control equipment at all IPL facilities.  Inspects all IPL facilities to ensure compliance with applicable regulations, rules and permits and assists IPL personnel in responding to environmental concerns.
      
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
 ● Counsels and advises Power Supply, Power Delivery, and other internal groups, on the scope of all current environmental regulations                                                                                                                                                     
 ● Reviews and compiles environmental operating data, and various reports for transmittal to various governmental agencies and other stakeholders      
 ● Reviews operational data for violation and trends, and reports immediately, all regulatory violations and/or problems to the Supervisor, Environmental Affairs      
 ● Assists production personnel in the timely solution to environmental regulatory violations or problems      
 ● Inspects all production, transmission, and distribution facilities to ensure environmental compliance      
 ● Manages environmental permitting efforts associated with new and ongoing projects      
 ● Track, interpret, and provide guidance on pending and expected environmental regulations, potentially affecting Power Supply and Power Delivery operations
